The collar creates coolant contact 360 degrees around the cutter, which results in increased tool life and productivity. Coolant supplied through the ID forms a liquid bearing between the rotating cutter and collar. Simple to use and fast to set up – just slip over the tool and the coolant line holds in place.
The KoolBlast Collar helps to keep chips flushed to avoid re-cutting. It also eliminates thermal shock to cutter edges by providing 360 degrees of coverage to the cutting tool. Furthermore, the KoolBlast Collar help to hold tolerances longer, improve surface finish, and allows for the increase in speeds and feeds.
The collar can be used for rotating and non-rotating tools.
